It's been quite some time! It's honestly nearly nearly the end of September already and so much yet so little has happened! Let me start of with the most obvious one. I'VE CUT MY HAIR SHORTER YAYYY! For the longest time I've been wanting to cut my hair and finally I did. This has to be the shortest cut I have ever done in my life. I have always had medium to very long hair growing up and my mum always loved my hair to be long so today was such a big change and I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT REGRET IT. It's a different look and I LOVE IT! I am actually considering keeping this length for a very long time. I also think something different is great for a new change. 

Next to talk about is that I am FINALLY starting university next week Tuesday! So this means that I will try my best to keep this blog up and running, my bookstagram I will be posting here and there and my Substack! I have a few ideas and posts I want to create which I will try my best to create on the weekends that way I can release them over the week. Hopefully I will make a timetable and content so do give some preferences on what you guys would like to see! Also can I say how all my content creating, anything to do with my writing platforms have been rising and that's thanks to you guys so THANK YOU! I also realised that fall outfits will be posted soon AND Halloween is just next month. Like wow. I need to figure out if I am going to the Halloween party and what to wear... My friends want to go as the Power-puff Girls and I want to dress up as a pirate because I think it's going to be as cool as a first costume. The gold jewellery, gold belts, flowly skirts. Amazing!

Right now, while writing this blog, I am watching New Moon Twilight. Something about the Twilight Saga screams fall and it's a must for me to watch them every year. If you guys haven't already go check out my socials! Enjoy the season with lots of coffee and nostalgic movies. Continue all your passions, keep writing on your blogs. Hope you all are doing well! For those of you who are new here HIII. It's nice to meet you and I hope you like this blog!I'm going to start off with the fact that we are already halfway through September WHATTTTT?! Why is the month going so fast! Next thing you know Halloween will be soon then Christmas then the new year will start. Honestly I can't wait for the Christmas season to start! I love Christmas it's my favourite holiday with all the city lights out in the streets, the Christmas markets selling delicious food and hot chocolate and all the Christmas moviesss AHHHHHH. The cozy season is nearly here and I cannot wait to start wearing long sleeves and jumpers with warm jackets and scarves. 

Also regarding Halloween, I have never celebrated it and this year I may go to a Halloween party being held at my university with my friends, so I am considering going. I'm still deciding but it seems fun and I want to experience these things more. I am an introvert. A very chatty introvert but I also love staying home but going out to explore. There is only so much social battery in me to stay out until late to the party... If I do attend though, I want to dress up as a pirate and you're probably thinking well boring, doesn't everyone go as that but I really want too. Seeing all the videos of everyone dressing up as a pirate is the only costume that seems appealing to me! My friends however want to go as the Powerpuff girls which isn't so bad but seems basic. I want to go big for my first Halloween celebration. 

Oh look at my breakfast. Coffee, toast and strawberries. Mind you this entire summer I had no good strawberries and when it hits Autumn, BAMMM strawberries suddenly seem so good. Anyways UPDATE GUYS: university for me is starting soon so I won't be posting as much. I will try to do as much as I can. Second of all I am mostly active on my Instagram so do follow me on there I will possibly be doing vlogs in university including of my course and my love for books! AND I MAY BE GETTING A HAIRCUT!!! I am going to be cutting it shorter, I want a different look but I am not doing a bob cut or anything like that but a cut to my shoulders with face framing layers might be nice. I will soon be showing that later on in the month. 

Anyways lovelies, that was my little rant. I will be uploading more stuff soon! A book review has been uploaded including my new Substack article so do go check it out! Hope everyone has a lovely day or night wherever in the world you may be and I will be in and out of this blog.

Let me tell you, it was not easy to write this without being overly negative about the subject and judging. My Life as a Pinterest Board

Hello my lovelies, 

˙ ✩°˖🫐 ⋆｡˚꩜

If you really want to know me, don't ask to describe myself. Just look at what I save. I think my Pinterest boards probably know me better than I know myself. They are strange little collections of everything I find beautiful, comforting, interesting or mildly obsessive. There isn't exactly one aesthetic. There are so many versions of myself fighting for space and somehow, they all make sense together. Well in my little mind they do. I guess here we go... There is the very obvious one that I am going to start with which is my bookish side!

Dark libraries. Books stacked far too high. Annotated pages (only for the books I'm studying). Poetry. Old architecture. Beautiful covers. Quotes that make me stare at the wall for 5 minutes. Rooms that look like someone disappeared halfway through writing a novel. I have an entire board dedicated to dark academia books, which feels like enough evidence that I should probably pretend I'm normal. I hate selling my books unless I have absolutely no desire to reread them again and I love having the physical copy of a book. I'm the kind of person who thinks audio books do not count as reading (sorry my opinion) and I always always ALWAYS carry a book everywhere I go just in case of long travels or waiting for friends to meet up!

Then there is the romantic me. Flowers. Bouquets, I LOVE FLOWERS SO MUCH! Pretty jewellery, I always have my dangle earrings and gold bangles on. Candlelight. Paintings. Ornate rooms. Little cafes hidden down pretty streets. I also believe that everything looks better when it is slightly old, dramatic and surrounded by flowers which by the way I love going to museums especially art galleries. I love looking at old, vintage paintings, I love original architectures that have not been modernised and within that love looking at nature and taking photographs. Sometimes I even edit my photos to make them look more vintage. It's beautiful to see original work still flourish and to see how art has evolved over time. 

There is also the "fashion" me. I have absolutely no intention of dressing according to one aesthetic. I'm pretty comfortable and flexible with what is appealing to the eye. Some days it's a cute outfit. Some days its dresses and most of the time its oversized jeans and a cute top. Sometimes it's autumn layers, boots and my leather jacket. There are outfit saves for versions of myself that don't technically exist yet but I'm sure she'll need them eventually. I mostly dress up in the winter because I love the layers and warmth. I love the jumpers and my jackets that I wear including my scarves. I also love wearing my knee high boots with a skirt and a cute jumper. 

And I seem to have an obsession with pretty things that look handmade. Journals filled with scraps of paper. Scrapbooks. Paintings. Pottery. Doodles. Flowers pressed between pages. (By the way these are some of my work!) Old photographs. Little trinkets that look like they have a story attached to them. I just love creating stuff whether writing, drawing, painting, scrap booking, making content. I don't think I'm necessarily great at it but I just love doing them. They are all hobbies of mine and some I have developed at a small age but some I have gained during university. I think it's great to see my taste evolve not necessarily aesthetically but in just what I love doing. You can also count blogging too:)

When you look at my Pinterest boards, naturally there are so many versions of me. For you it's the same too and all this shows your personality, style and your comfort in what you love. It doesn't necessarily tell you everything about yourself but I think you'd understand me a little better and maybe that's the best thing about Pinterest. You can create a version of your life before you've figured out how to live it. Maybe these aren't just things I like. Maybe they're little pieces of the person I'm becoming.

Hello my lovelies,

Long time no hear. Hope you all are having a great day and a great start to the month of SEPTEMBER!!! All of my images now are going to match the theme of brown. Oh and I was wearing a brown outfit today hehe. Anyways let me get into it. I went out with my mum today, a little mother and daughter outing and she got me boookkksss! For the first time in YEARS (may I add) that I have finished my TBR list which is so crazy to me... I got three new books which hopefully I actually like because lately I have not liked any books I've been reading. AND romantasy is very trendy right now and I only like some of them. I also ate good food and had an AMAZING COFFEE (a  salted caramel iced latte). It was so yummy and had a chicken fajita wrap which by the way soo delicious! This is my regular order and nothing goes wrong ayyyy!! Also my mum's vanilla latte looks so good :)

What else has been going on in my life hmmm... OH I've been seeing everyone's university timetables on tiktok and let me just say the hours yall are sitting in there is ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. What do you mean some of your classes end at 7PM! The latest for mine was 6pm last year and that for me was TERRIBLE. Getting the train back after so many delays just to get home was so bad. Now my timetable ends at 4pm but I only have one class every single day for a 2 hour seminar. WHY NOT put multiple classes on the same day and leave the rest of the week to independent study. Except for Tuesdays though which I have a lecture and a following seminar but ends around 1PM then done, on my way home. BUT I cannot find my timetable anymore so HOPEFULLY they do not change it. I honestly still don't know when I am not starting I just want the confirmation email to be sent in. Being at home since March is something. I can't wait to see all my friends and catch up with everyone and talk about their summer and trips!

Other than that the community on Bookstagram has been amazing. I am soon going to be making an appreciation post of all the book lovers out there on my page. I love their content and they are amazing people! So kind and it's a community where you truly feel the love for individuals and the passion we all share. Also considering it's the fall season what other show to watch than Gilmore Girls! So many of my friends refer me to Rory which I have no idea how but I guess for her love for her books but I want a new show recommendation. I want something of the similar vibe but different. Also my lovelies I need movie recommendations!!!!

AND AND AND THANK YOU TOO ALL 104 OF YALL who are following this blog, it's so nice to see so many people who have the same interests, love connecting and styles share with one another. Some of yall are so talented when constructing your blogs, the little details and kindness is so SWEET! Anyways you guys it's currently 10:54 PM right now as I am writing this. I need to create another post for me to send off in the morning for my page and I'll be in and out of this blog. I will be posting more book reviews and hot people reads. Collages are in the process and I know I said I will update my writing post for my novel but I haven't but I PROMISE I WILLLLLLLLLLL TOMORROW. I have changed the name of my blog as "It's Oriana's Sanctuary" but I need to know if its good because I am having mixed feelings about the change of name. Before it was "Book Lovers Life Blog" so I need opinions!!! If you guys like the change I'll keep it, if not DO SAY PLEASEEEEEE... 

Anyways I will be writing a detailed blog of all updates on my life and my writing of my novel too which should be exciting.

Hello my lovelies,

It is officially SEPTEMBER!! AUTUMN SEASON IS HERE! Well technically it's supposed to already be Autumn but the UK weather has other plans which is so annoying but it makes it all the better to start feeling that cosy vibe. I already lit my apple, cinnamon candles and best believe dim lamps and lights are on in the bedroom! Anyways I'm nearly up to 100 followers on this blog which I cannot imagine by the way because I wasn't expecting this many people to actually like it here... Although I wanted to change the style of the blog, it would honestly be too much work to change it into the brown, autumn aesthetic plus I actually love my navy blue one however with my post, I'll try to stick to the season and obviously my collages. Get ready for my fit checks. 

Also can I say, my Substack journey has slowly been climbing. This is actually such a good app and writing my mini articles has been so much fun! Check out my new post that I posted today. This one is based on my original poem (also posted here on the blog under the label poems) called Borrowed Silence. I think allowing yourself to write in an inspiration of anything can be very insightful and somehow can be full of meaning. I suggest you guys check it out. The app can also essentially be your own personal diary full of thoughts that can open up discussions! Plus it's great to see everyone's writing styles and creativity flow in the progress. Also this app allows me to get some of my writing out there in a more professional manner plus you can have paid subscriptions. All of my articles are free to read however, once my platform grows on here I'll be adding that feature to some posts! 

Now my September started off with my mum's birthday and yesterday we all went out to China Town in London! Honestly such a busy place but full of amazing food. Everything was honestly too vibrant and tempting, the lanterns were beautiful when hung and above all spending time with my family was honestly so great. It's rare we all go out so it was nice to have everyone enjoy food and talk together. I took SO MANY PHOTOS! My collage is already uploaded. OH and I have been studying for my classes and did a lot of research for my work placement this year for university... AND I HAVE NO IDEA when I start. The school year starts 21st September but my timetable given doesn't even start until the 28th WHICH IS SO ANNOYING. JUST GET ME TO UNI ALREADY I'VE BEEN HOME FOR TOO LONG! Anyways I am sipping on my strawberry daiquiri (so delicious) and watching a horror movie with the family while writing this blog!
